According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, MS strong to severe storms are expected through the early evening hours.
The primary threat with these storms will be damaging wind gusts, but hail up to golf ball size and a few tornadoes are also possible.
In addition, rainfall accumulations of one to three inches with locally higher amounts may lead to localized flash flooding.
