After two long phases of street construction; today marked the third and final phase of street revitalization in downtown Meridian. Bunky Partridge says that the last phase would have started sooner if it weren’t for the previous rain days in the city.
“We’re going to close the west lane of 22nd avenue. That will be from 5th street to 8th street. That will be closed so that we can begin phase three. Phase three is the final phase.”
Partridge says that finishing street repairs is just one of many fresh aspects of meridian along with new restaurants like Krystal and Zaxby’s as well as the newly renovated Threefoot building slated to be finished in 2017.
