Summer reading kick-off

The Meridian and Lauderdale public library kicked-off its summer reading program this afternoon.

The staff of the library provided plenty of outdoor activities for the kids, as well as giving them a summer reading list to keep their minds occupied while out of school.

The event had to be relocated to the city hall lawn due to an overwhelming response to the program.
