Tuesday the Meridian Police Department responded to an armed robbery in the Dilliard's parking lot located at Bonita Lakes Mall.
MPD arrived on the scene shortly after, and that's when police say the suspect was still in the area.
After a quick chase, police arrested 24-year old Jacorey Brown near the Tuxedo area.
"The victim was there in the mall parking lot and he came up to her with a gun and told her to give him her purse. She complied with giving up her purse, and he takes off," Captain John Griffith with MPD said.
Captain Griffith says that the victim's purse was recovered after the arrest. He said no one sustained any injuries.
Brown's bond has been set at $50,000.
