MSU Riley Center Announces Fall/Winter Season Lineup

Chelsea Jones

The MSU Riley Center is bringing to the stage a diverse lineup for its fall and winter performing arts series.

“We’re really excited. This season marks the 10-year anniversary since the opening of the Riley Center,” said Dennis Sankovich, the center’s executive director.

The performing arts series features 14 acts, including singing legends such as Pattie LaBelle, Vince Gill, Melissa Etheridge, and Wynton Marsalis. The series also features plays for children and a performance by Jennifer Lang Dance.

Other acts include Rick Springfield, Keb’ Mo’, The Oak Ridge Boys, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.

“The goal for the lineup was to bring some of the best acts that we’ve had in the past, as well as some new acts that would come together and create a really interesting diversity of artists and genres,” said Sankovich.

He added that he hopes the community will come out and support.

“I think there’s something for everyone to enjoy. I think it’s an opportunity to experience arts and culture in our community and to learn about all types of musical art forms. And it’s just fun.”

The series starts on September 8th. Season tickets are now on sale. Individual show tickets will go on sale in August.
