Meridian police say they are still investigating the drowning death of a man found in a swimming pool at a house in the Eagle Pointe Area.
“Yesterday around 5:30, metro ambulance received a call of a possible drowning in the Eagle Pointe area. On arrival, the fire department had the male out of the pool and were doing CPR. They started advanced life support, transported him to Anderson Hospital, and he succumbed to his injuries there at the emergency room,” said Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler.
Police say an autopsy was ordered since there were no witnesses of the incident. They’re now awaiting the results.
