There’s no need to wait for Halloween night to go trick-or-treating. The City of Meridian is hosting this year’s Candy Crawl on October 25th on the City Hall lawn.
“It’s just a safe, fun way to enjoy the holiday season and trick-or-treating and to showcase our local businesses downtown,” said Laura Carmichael, the city’s cultural affairs director.
Over 30 businesses will participate in this year’s Candy Crawl and will give away lots of candy.
“We have a map that we’ll be distributing that shows all the businesses who will be participating,” said Carmichael.
The event will also feature other fun activities such as inflatables, pony rides, and a petting zoo.
“There will be a spooky story hour presented by the Meridian Public Library, we’re really are excited about that. The Museum of Art will have art activities for the kids, pumpkin painting. We’ll have a costume contest for the kids,” said Carmichael.
Candy Crawl is for children 12 and under, and they must be accompanied by an adult.
