Two Meridian High School seniors have signed with college sports teams. Cassidy Hines will play soccer at Belhaven University and Kai Horne will run track at Millsaps College.
“It feels pretty good. I was kind of nervous at first coming up here signing in front of everybody. But Belhaven is the place for me to be and it’s home, so I’m very excited to go there,” said Hines.
“I’m just really excited. The day finally came. I finally found the school of my dreams. I’m really excited about continuing my track and field career,” said Horne.
The signing ceremony was Wednesday at City Hall. Hines plans to study sports medicine and Horne plans to study neuroscience.
