Fall classes start Monday and Meridian Community College is helping students get off to a good start. The college hosted its annual back-to-school event yesterday.
It was one-stop shop for all things MCC for those students looking to either start or continue their college education. Students were able to sign up for classes and sign up for financial aid.
“We decided let’s give away some scholarships. We’re going to have a scholarship giveaway every hour. One hundred dollars that will go directly towards those students accounts to help them with tuition, fees, and books,” said MCC recruiter Adrian Cross.
Students met with professors, picked up their student ids, and learned about the 52 programs MCC has available.
