Meridian police are searching for this unidentified man they say robbed Great Southern Bank located in Bonita Lakes Circle Thursday afternoon.
“He’s described as a white male wearing a camo cap,” said Sgt. Darreall Thompson.
Thompson said just before 3:00 p.m., the suspect walked into Great Southern Bank and handed the clerk a note demanding money.
“The clerk followed the instructions from the note. The clerk said she never saw a weapon but the note stated some things, I guess, that it was robbery,” said Thompson.
On surveillance footage, the clerk is seen handing the man a white envelope. The man then leaves.
“We do believe he got into a vehicle, a white Toyota corolla. It had damage on the driver’s side,” said Thompson.
Due to the ongoing investigation, police haven’t released how much money the man took. But they’re asking for the community’s help in finding him.
“We have been receiving phone calls from the community. We are asking them to continue to call. If they have any information, we are asking them to call the Meridian Police Department,” said Thompson.
