The Red Cross is offering a training class for residents interested in being deployed to Texas and Louisiana to assist with Red Cross relief efforts. A class will be taught Saturday, Sept. 2, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Meridian Red Cross office located on Highway 39 North.
