Friday was all about who has the best golf swing. The EMBDC hosted its 21st annual golf classic, providing business professionals an opportunity to network.
“This is just an opportunity that the EMBDC puts together for all of its members and some of its non-members to be able to come out and have a wonderful, relaxing day at Northwood Country Club,” said events coordinator Casey Holladay.
Over 30 businesses participated in the event and competed for various prizes, including the million-dollar shootout.”
“Everyone has a chance to win $100,000 so we’re excited about that. Mississippi Power has a team, the EMEPA has a team, Citizens National Bank, so we have a lot of people who come out here, get a team together and invite some of their clients to play and have a good time,” said Holladay.
In addition to being a meet-and-greet, the event was also a fundraiser for the EMBDC to bring more economic growth to the area.”
“We work diligently to support our existing businesses in any way that we can. We are constantly looking for ways to provide more things for our members and our business community. Whether it’s a small business or if it’s a large industry.”
Casey said residents can expect to some new businesses in the next few months.
