Lauderdale Tax collector Honored for 40 Years of Service

Today Lauderdale County Tax Collectors honored one of their own. Deputy tax collector, Julia Marshall has been a part of the tax collector family for 40 years.

“It feels good, it feels marvelous, wonderful to have accomplished 40 years of service”, said Julia.

Doris Spidle, a Lauderdale County tax collector, shared some nice thoughts about Marshall. Spidle said she hopes Julia never leaves.

“The thing I know about Julia is that she has always been so helpful, and she has always done everything that she needs to do to help a customer, to help this office”, stated Spidle.

“She has always put the office first. She is just an excellent employee.”

Marshall thanked the community for helping her get to this momentous accomplishment.

“Thank you for allowing me to serve you. I continue to serve you. Just thank you so much!”, stated Marshall.

Marshall says she has another 40 to go!
