Alabama Department Of Public Health Reports Presumed Recoveries From COVID-19

Tonight, an update on COVID-19 cases in Choctaw County, with 135 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 3 COVID-19 related deaths.

Yesterday, the Alabama Department of Public Health has added a category for “presumed recoveries” to its statistic dashboard for COVID-19 cases, which will be updated weekly. As of today, the number of presumed recoveries in Alabama is 7,951 out of 13, 476. An individual break down of the presumed recoveries by county is not yet available.

According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, COVID-19 cases are presumed recovered if it has been fourteen days or more since the case tested positive if they were not hospitalized, or if it has been 32 days or more since the case tested positive if they were hospitalized or if hospitalization was unknown, deaths are not included in these numbers.
