The historic Temple Theater in Meridian will not be holding its annual Haunted Temple Tours this year, due to COVID-19.
There are concerns about not being able to properly social distance when conducting the tours. Temple Theater owner, Roger Smith, shared that although the traditional haunted tours won't be held, there will be other Halloween events that residents can look forward to.

“The reason is a little bit different from the rest of them, is that its in the dark, and people are bumping into each other and we just thought it was maybe not the right time. So, I the place of that we’re going to show two or three classic scary movies and we’re hoping to show the original phantom of the opera with the theater organ, the silent version – so, the organ would accompany it. So, that’s what we’re doing for Halloween,” said Roger Smith.
