Archusa Creek Park currently closed to visitors.

Quitman, MS - Another statement has been released regarding Archusa Creek Park.

Park Staff are asking all visitors to refrain from entering the park.

The park announced yesterday that it is closed indefinitely to day use, after a breach near the emergency spillway happened on Sunday.

Park Staff say the only thing open is camping, cabins, lodge halls, and the shelters.

The parks also says No Metal Detecting is allowed.

All campsite visitors are asked to leave the park by 10 p.m.

The park says this is for public safety, as it is still too dangerous to enter unless given permission from park officials.
