Two Meridian high school basketball members announced where they would be furthering their education and athletic career.

Both Tytiana Buckley and Demarcus Powe will be attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (MGCCC) after graduation.
“It’s great to me because I worked so hard since I started playing basketball and I finally have the chance to actually go to the next level and show off my talent more than I did this year”, said MGCCC commit Tytiana Buckley.

Demarcus Powe expressed that the day was extra special for him since he had the opportunity to sign on his birthday.
“This is just something I always dreamed of”, said Powe. “This day means a lot to me because, it’s my birthday too, so it’s even more of a blessing to me. I get to sign on my birthday, not a lot of people get to do that, so yeah, it’s amazing”
Both Buckley and Powe are looking forward to continuing their careers as MGCCC Bulldogs.
