DO YOU LIKE HELPING OTHERS? DO YOU LIKE UNIQUE CHARITY EVENTS? WELL, YOU’RE IN LUCK. TWIN STATES NEWS DANNY TODD HAS SOME INFORMATION REGARDING THE LOVE RIDE POKER RUN.

Mississippi is one of the most charitable states around. This comes as no surprise to see others come together in a time of need. We speak with Billy Lyons of Spacey's Rock N Roll Tattoo in Meridian to talk about an event he has coming up this weekend and how you can be a part of it.

BILLY LYONS: OWNER OF SPACEY’S ROCK N ROLL TATTOO says "The Love Ride Poker Run is going to be a benefit for Mark and Katie Ange. Mark and Katie were on motorcycles that were struck down this past summer and they were injured pretty badly. Mark and Katie were lifted to a hospital in Jackson. Mark was broken up on the right side of his body, and Katie, unfortunately, died from her injuries."

Billy Lyons says normally poker runs only include motorcycles, but he wants to give everyone an opportunity to come out and help this family. That's why they are allowing all vehicles to take part in the event.

BILLY LYONS says "Katie has worked a lot with the NA. She's worked with Weems. She's worked with people one on one basis and helped them find happiness and find a new normal in their lives that they were missing because of drug addiction, or other addictions."

Katie and Mark are people Billy Lyons holds near and dear to his heart. As a member of the biker community, he couldn't think of a better way to help raise money for this family and honor the life of his sweet friend Katie, who made such an impact in this community.

BILLY LYONS says "I want to thank all the businesses and all the individuals that have given to this. You're amazing people and your heart is very big and we very much appreciate it. And I think Mark and Katie definitely appreciate it. So hey, ya’ll come out and see us, let’s have a good time, we’ll celebrate Katie's life and honor her. And let's make this thing a real success. And we can do more in the future.
