Car Seat education and Giveaway in Meridian.

Meridian, MS - Families in the Queen City had the opportunity to gain further education about their Child safety Seats.

People in the community came out to EC HealthNet Family Health Center, to learn the proper way to install the safety seats and make sure their child is firmly secured. The educational lesson was a collaborative effort of the Department of Health, EC HealthNet, and the Center for Pregnancy Choices in Meridian.

“When it comes to health and wellness of families in our community, it’d very important that we work together as agencies and not work siloed, because we work better when we’re working together; absolutely.” says CPC Center Director Sara Smith.

“Just because you can look something up on YouTube, doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing the right thing, it’s important to have a licensed professional kind of help you out to get that all squared away.” says EC HealthNet Doctor Ray Beiner.

Along with the educational lesson, families received a free car seat and installation. Anyone who missed today’s event can call the Department of Health, EC HealthNet, or the CPC for further information.
