Care Lodge School Supply donations

The Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter of Meridian is taking donations for school supplies, uniforms and masks as children head back to school.

These donations will allow them to make purchases for the children they serve.

“Right now, we are really trying to support the families that have been affected-not only by the coronavirus, but also domestic violence," says Director of Community Engagement Sara Smith. "They’re having to get supplies that are needed for their children to go to school. Some of our families have multiple children so it’s not simply buying a pair of scissors, an eraser, some markers and a backpack- it’s multiple children. They don’t have the support they may have had before when their family was all together.”
