Meridian, MS - From being out in the nice weather, to putting food on the grill, many people are enjoying the fourth of July holiday.
Quinton walker of Meridian feels today is the perfect day to enjoy being outside. “Just woke up this morning, wanted to get out, be active and do something. Ride a few miles this morning on my bike, try to get my heart rate going, and enjoy the nice weather God has blessed us with.”
Henry Broomfield is from Jacksonville Florida and traveled to Meridian to celebrate the fourth with his wife’s family. “We’re going to have a family get together today. I’m here turning the ribs, and the hamburgers, hotdogs, and everything, plan on having a good time here.”
Larry Joyner of North Carolina shares what the fourth of July means to him. "A time to get together with friends and celebrate independence."
Later in the evening families and friends gathered together to celebrate the Fourth with a firework show at Bonita Lakes.
