Child drowns in Collinsville.

Collinsville, MS - A 10-year-old boy drowned Saturday afternoon in Collinsville.

The child was last seen playing around the Schamberville Lake.

According to Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler, emergency officials were searching for the child around 1:30.

A few minutes after 2:00, the boy was discovered in the lake.

Emergency officials administered CPR, but the child was pronounced dead on the scene.
