City of Meridian announces street closing

MERIDIAN, MS – A downtown street closure is scheduled for Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday 4th at 23rd Avenue between 5th Street and 4th Street. The closure will allow the demolition and removal of buildings located at 2304 4th Street. Motorist traveling south on 23rd Avenue must turn east onto 5th Street and motorist traveling west on 4th Street must turn south onto 23rd Avenue during this time.

If possible, please avoid the area during the closure.
