City of Meridian continues Public Safety curfew

MERIDIAN, MS - The City of Meridian announces that a curfew will be in effect from 5 p.m. today until 8 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Due to hazardous weather conditions, the City respectfully asks for all residents to limit travel to essential personnel only. The concern is refreezing and further icing of streets and roadways.

City offices and departments will also be closed until 1pm, Wednesday, February 17th, except for essential personnel only.

Tuesday’s City Council meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 18th at 5 p.m. City officials will continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide more updates as they become available. Residents are encouraged to use extreme caution during this time.
