Meridian, MS - People in the Meridian community celebrated the start of the school year with a Back to School Bash. The annual event was held at Highland Park and received support from many organizations in the community. The Bash was hosted by the City of Meridian Park and Rec, and the Meridian Public School District.
“We’ve been doing this for quite some time today and just giving out school supplies. School has began but you know that’s not a problem because you can’t have enough school supplies.” says Park and Rec Director Thomas Adams.
“To collaborate and put this wonderful event on every year is a blessing for not only our community, it’s a blessing for us as well, it is an honor.” says MPSD Parnet Engagement Specialist Adrian Phillips.
Families and Students were able to have a good time and get supplies they need for school.
