The city of Meridian announced its plans for Halloween at the city council meeting Tuesday, October 6 .
The city will hold its annual candy crawl on Tuesday, October 27, 4:30pm to 6pm, and instead of being held in its traditional location on city hall lawn, this year it will be held in Dumont Plaza. Those who plan to attend the city’s annual candy crawl will be required to wear facial coverings and socially distance. Twin States spoke with Meridian’s community development director about what citizens can expect at this year’s candy crawl.

“We’ll have a few vendors, or businesses there set up, socially distanced of course, that will allow children 12 and under, who participate, to go by and pick up their treats from those businesses, --and then we have about 15-20 businesses who are participating. We will be communicating with those businesses and having a map that we’ll be sending out. So, you’ll know exactly where those are,” said Laura Carmichael, Community Development Director.
The City of Meridian also announced that this year, Halloween across the city will be celebrate on Saturday October 31, from 4pm to 8pm.
