For many seniors, the Holiday season can be a difficult and lonely time. A High School Choir is helping lift Holiday spirits with one song at a time.

It’s December, and the Holiday Season is in full swing. It’s the time of year for good food, and good friends and family—at least for most of us. But according to Mayoclinic.org the Holiday Season can be lonely and isolating to some elderly. The Clarkdale High School Choir went out to Meridian Living to help spread the Holiday cheer.
The Choir’s Director, Mr. Chris Landrum had this to say, “This season is all about coming together it really is and if we can reach out with our music and just touch on peoples lives, that’s what music is all about."
Many residents enjoyed the choir's performance and some even performed themselves getting in the festive mood, one resident expresses her feelings about having the choir at her residence.
Eulamae Staloingn Resident at Meridian Living had this to say, “I really enjoyed them, I really really did."
Jenny Cherota, The activity Director of Meridian Living tells us what it meant for her residents to have the students perform.
“It was such a blessing to have this group come in and sing for our group here today, our residents enjoyed it so much."
