COVID-19 safety supplies to be distributed for voting precincts

The Mississippi National Guard assisted the Mississippi Secretary of State's Office is distributing 117 palates of COVID-19 safety supplies for voting precincts for the November general election.

Each palate contains boxes of masks, face shields, gloves, disinfecting wipes, germicidal cleaner, and one-time-use pens and styluses.

These items were purchased with coronavirus aid, Relief and Cares Act Funds. The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency donated approximately 8,700 bottles of hand sanitizer as well.

County election officials will pick up the supplies from local distribution areas and distribute the items to precincts before election day.
