Cyber Monday Deals in the Queen City.

Meridian, MS - Although the spirit of Cyber Monday has many on the hunt for online deals, some residents like Tammy Thompson of Meridian, still enjoy looking for local deals. “I prefer supporting local businesses if I can.”

And she’s not the only one, Keldred Brown of Kemper County made his way to the Uptown Mall in Meridian to see what deals could be found. “Deals that may be different from Black Friday to today, try and get some of this Christmas shopping out the way.”

Keldred expressed how he checks both online and local deals before making a decision. “We do homework on the computers, and then we come into the stores to see what we can kind of put together.”

As for local businesses, Kardre Mitchell of DC Guitar Studio in Meridian emphasized the experience customers receive coming into the store, rather than online shopping for products. “There are still people that have stuck to online purchasing, but the people that we are getting in are grateful because they are able to get it the same day, play it, feel it, and touch it as well before they purchase it.”

Shoppers in the community say that Cyber Monday deals are a great way to get Christmas shopping done, in case anyone missed out on black Friday deals.
