Dr.'s and the COVID Vaccine for kids: Pro Vs Anti

The vaccine for children is here and so is an even more heated debate on the covid-19 vaccine.

It has been a long-standing debate towards the Covid-19 vaccine. Some people agree with the vaccine and some do not. Now kids as young as 5 years of age are now eligible to get the vaccine. Today we hear from different Dr's on their stand on the covid- 19 vaccine being available for children.

“I’m actually all for it and I just got my first shot yesterday and my kids have actually been wanting to get it themselves so I will probably more than likely get them to get it." said mother Tabeta Pike.

A group of Dr's who we previously spoke with who are against the covid vaccine feel the same way towards the vaccine now being available for kids aged 5 and up.

“I’m not willing to give my child none of these vaccines much less booster shots every month my child has had the infection and has been immunized the proper way, natural immunity is the best treatment for this type of virus and we know this with influenza and we know this with other NRA viruses. said Dr. Howard.

Kids today are required to be immunized for school for things like the flu, chicken pox, and other vaccines. Dr.granger says the covid-19 vaccine is unlike any other vaccine we have had before.

“You're creating a shot that basically allows your body to make a protein that is foreign to your body and toxic to your body and that product your body makes despite protein is basically attacked by the body’s own immune system,” stated Dr. Granger

Dr.Donkor from Greater Meridian Health Clinic has opposing views and believes that everyone who is eligible should get the covid-19 vaccine.

“if we can save a life why not? That is the whole idea about the scientific world to make things better for all of us including children so I don’t think it’s a debate we should be going about. If you say you have a problem with the covid vaccine then you have a problem with the measle, chicken pox, and so on and so forth so where does it stop? said Dr. Donkor.

Dr. Withcher who is the founder of Mississippians against mandates says he just wants parents to know the risks involved before allowing children to get the covid vaccine.

“10,000 myocarditis or pericarditis, basically heart problems, and many of these have been from children. So we want parents to know that there are risks involved and to look at those risks before they decide to give their children the vaccine."
