Meridian MS - People in meridian are expecting to have a fun-filled weekend.

Many events are happening in The Queen city this weekend.

On Friday the opening ceremony for the state games of Mississippi will be held in downtown Meridian.

It’s known as Mississippi’s largest amateur sporting event.

Leading into Saturday, the earth’s bounty seasonal festival will be held at Singing Brakeman Park.

Guest can expect activities for kids, live music, and special demonstrations throughout the season.

Earth’s bounty is held on the first Saturday of each month from April through November.
