The East Mississippi Hub for Volunteers and Nonprofits held a ribbon cut ceremony today to celebrate their first year in service. This time last year, the organization was formed right before the pandemic hit and did not have the opportunity to celebrate properly.
“I feel like last year was chapter one. There’s a lot of hard work behind this team-getting to know our nonprofit leaders, connecting with them. With COVID, it was a little hard to implement a brand new nonprofit in the midst of a pandemic, but we did it.”
Executive Director Casey Culpepper says the organization has several projects to look forward in the second year.
The Hub for Volunteers and Nonprofits is stationed at the United Way of East Mississippi location and in connection with the Community Foundation of East Mississippi. For more information, visit here.
