East MS United Way gives away $20,000 of School Supplies

United Way of East Mississippi gave away $20,000 worth of school supplies in the past week. The supplies were donated by local businesses, the annual stuff the bus event, and monetary donations.

“We know that from just talking to teachers and counselors that sometimes students are not able to buy just basics things such as paper and pencil so what we do is when we give to the counselors the teachers can get these supplies so that students are not embarrassed for those who might not able to afford who those who do not have, we provide the schools with just a stock of supply for the students.”- Derron Radcliff, Executive director

All supplies were given to schools in Lauderdale, Kemper, and Neshoba county area.
