EMEPA prepares to send crews to Florida.

Meridian, MS - East Mississippi Electric Power Association in Meridian is preparing to aid in power restoration efforts following Hurricane Idalia.


The company will be sending 18 employees to Central Florida Electric Cooperative, Inc. in Chiefland, Florida.


Central Florida Electric’s service experienced significant damage from Hurricane Idalia, reporting more than 18,000 members without power.


EMEPA Crews are scheduled to depart from the Meridian office at 7 a.m. tomorrow.


Quitman crews are scheduled to meet Meridian crews enroute to Florida.
