Events taking place this weekend.

Busy weekend coming up here in Meridian. Two different events will be taking place on both Friday and Saturday.

The city of Meridian will temporarily close Bonita Lakes Park this weekend to host the Queen City Triathlon.

Beginning Friday the boat ramp and the spillway will be closed. Bonita lakes will be closed to the public on Saturday, Aug.7th and the race begins at 7am. There will be limited access to participants and those watching the events.

Also taking place this weekend in Lauderdale will be the Ralph Morgan Rodeo. The Rodeo will take place on both August 6th and 7th, gates will open up at 6pm on both days.
