The giving season is upon us, and Twin States News highlights a specific organization that’s doing all it can to make a positive impact on someone’s life this Holiday Season.

As inflation skyrockets, you can imagine that food is among those things that take the greatest hit. We speak with the directors of the Wesley House today to see how they and the community are coming together to help those less fortunate this holiday season.

Rev. David Schultz- executive director of Wesley house tells Twin States News that the challenge that many of the people they help stems from the spike in inflation. He states many of the people that come through are elderly, and many of those are on a fixed income.

Reverend David Schultz tells Twin States news that most of the people they help have to decide whether to pay the rent, pay the power bill or pay for their medications. They do their very best to make sure these needs are met.

Rev. Shultz also tells us about Cash Saver grocery store doing their part to partner with them, and make a positive impact in our community.

Reverend Schultz calls it a great way for the community to help those in need. You can go to cash savers and purchase a food bag that will go directly to the Wesley House. Then the bags are distributed to those who sometimes go without. The reverend points out they are always in need of an extra helping hand if you may be interested in volunteering.

Rev. Shultz says they are needing volunteers to help bag up the groceries, especially during the holiday. He also says that they are still distributing food weekly, and could always use help.
