
Meridian MS - People in Meridian may have noticed a familiar face this season on “NBC’s The Voice.” Holly brand amazed judges and fans around the world with her outstanding performance during the season 23 blind auditions of “NBC’s The Voice.”
“Leading up to my audition before I sang, I was super nervous. I’ve always wanted to audition for The Voice, but I just never really felt like the timing was right for me. And I really wanted to wait until I was confident in my abilities and who I was before I did something like The Voice.”
The 22-year-old singer from Meridian talked about the atmosphere of the competition, and her coach, Kelly Clarkson. “With the voice being a competition. A lot of people think that it's a very competitive atmosphere, but that could not be further from the truth. Kelly is so much fun. She is just as theatrical and excited as she is on tv.”
Being no stranger to the stage, Holly shared how opening for Blake Shelton, helped prepare her for this moment. “So, when I was ten, there was a talent competition in my hometown and the grand prize was getting to open for Blake Shelton, because he had a concert in meridian. I ended up winning, and I got to meet Blake Shelton backstage, and being able to sing on stage for the first time in that kind of concert atmosphere was the moment that I realized that I wanted to be an artist.”
She shares her message to fans, and the people of Meridian. “I read all of the messages, all of the comments, even though I can't respond to all of them because there's too many. I do read them, and it means a lot. So, thank you so much for the support and I hope that I’m representing all of you well and that I make you proud.”
