Gas Prices Continue to Fluctuate

People are starting to see a decrease in gas prices across Meridian. One of the lowest is $3.77 but some say that is not low enough. Twin States News stopped by a local gas station to speak with people about the prices

Although most gas prices have dropped under $4 in the past few weeks some say it is still not low enough.

“I don't see how people can afford to go back and forth to work now. It needs to come down a whole lot more like it was a couple of years ago.”

Some people are deciding to just deal with the prices and have even switched to smaller cars t to combat the prices.

“I think that it is fine. It's happening to everyone it’s not just us. We have small cars at home so it’s fine.”

For others, Mississippi has been among the lowest-priced gas they have found.

“I'm coming from upstate New York to Philadelphia for a meeting with the Tushka Hashi for the Choctaw Indian solar car in Philadelphia”, stated Lee Cabe. “This is one of the lowest gas prices across the eastern United States.”

Lee Cabe is driving from New York to Dallas and says he has had to fill up at least four times.

“It's $100 a tank and this is my fourth tank. I'm on my way to Dallas after this, so it's going to be a lot of money.”
