Hearts for the Arts

The organization Junior Auxiliary is helping to bring new art to the Queen City through a street art contest they held for local students.

“Today we are here painting about five murals. We’ve already completed a few of them. We have the students come out that won. If they were able to come, they are working with a muralist from the Museum of Art and they are painting their mural on either the sidewalk or a lightbox like this”, said Junior Auxiliary member Dana Moore.

The organization has painted more than five murals throughout downtown.
