Hundreds attend the Marion Police Department's annual toy drive on Dec. 20

In Lauderdale County, the Marion Police Department holding its annual toy drive Sunday. Hundreds of local residents gathered for the event.
The toy drive was held at the Hamasa Shriners Temple for increased social distancing.

All attendees were required to wear masks, and temperatures checks were enforced on all entering the building.
Multiple law enforcement agency’s, and local organizations from the surrounding area were present to assist with the toy drive.
According to Marion Police Chief Randall Davis, this year’s toy drive had a larger turnout in comparison to previous years.
“We got clothes, we got raffles, and we’ve got thousands of toys. I mean, I can’t even put a number on it, and like I said a lot of people came out, but the reason they’re here, they’re in need. So, that’s what we’re here for,” said Chief Randall Davis.

This year was the Marion Police Department’s 12th annual toy drive.
