Jackson, MS - Jackson State University’s campus was closed, and classes were suspended today after a student was shot and killed late Sunday evening at University Point Apartment Complex.
JSU’s President, Elayne Hayes-Anthony identified the student as Jaylen Brown.
Brown was an Industrial Technology major from Chicago, Illinois.
Jackson Police and Capitol Police are assisting in the investigation.
