Today, the Junior Auxiliary of Meridian delivered $9,000 worth of brand new school uniforms for students to the Lauderdale County School District.
These uniforms were donated by David Majure, the owner of the local ACE Hardware Store of Meridian. All uniforms will be distributed among all Lauderdale County Schools starting tomorrow.
“Today we had the privilege of delivering uniforms for all the county schools--including brand new pants, shorts and shirts. We have it broken down by schools. They have their appropriate colors and sizes, according to middle, elementary and high school,” says Junior Auxiliary Helping Hands Chairwoman Elizabeth McDonald. “For students to be successful, they have to have what they need in school so they can focus on learning. So we thought it was just super important to be able to share what has been shared with us and help students learn everyday.”
$9,000 worth of new school uniforms were also donated to the Meridian Public School District.
