Key Field of Meridian held their 3rd annual media training for officials transitioning into leadership roles.
This training allowed young officers to prepare being in front of the camera before doing it in a real environment. Interviews were based on mock scenarios for those officers to get a feel of a real press conference.
“We want to present the best image we can for the Mississippi Air National Guard and represent those members who are serving our country in the best like that we can,” Lt. Col. Jason Mcelhenney explains. “It’s important to practice to do this. So media relations is one of those things that we want to practice and develop our proficiencies at.”
This training lasted two days for officials and is an ongoing effort to remain proficient in different skill areas.
