Meridian, MS - The Thanksgiving holiday has finally arrived, and according to Loves Kitchen’s Executive Director Fannie Johnson, they are excited to help feed the community. “We will be serving turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, greens, rolls, sweet potato pie, and cakes.”
While the food may be one enjoyment of this annual event, many residents that come out, like Byron Humphryes of Meridian, also enjoy fellowshipping with Fannie Johnson, kitchen volunteers, and others in the community. “I enjoy the food and I know she’s going to be here.”
Speaking of volunteers, Dave Owen of Meridian expressed why he gets joy from helping others. “My mom; it’s something she would’ve always done, and tried to instill this in us, no matter what we had or didn’t have she was always looking out for others.”
From fellowshipping with volunteers to the customers, Loves Kitchen in Meridian is happy to spread kindness and love this Thanksgiving season.
