Today is the last big holiday of the summer known as Labor Day. Labor day is a federal holiday to honor and recognize the American labor movement I went out in the city to see just how the people of meridian plan on celebrating today.

Nina Lewis stated, “Well we are going to do a little cooking out today, probably do some ribs, pork chops, and hamburgers for today and just relax at home and enjoy our day off.”
Labor Day is celebrated all across the united states with parades, picnics barbeques, and other public gatherings.
Gregory Brown- said, “ A lil cookout with some friends and family and have a good day.”
For children and young adults, it also represents the end of summer and the official start of the school year and some just like to relax.
Milton Neidman stated, “I’m just going to chill and cookout a Lil bit for my birthday today and labor day."
Although it’s a celebration with friends and family we mustn’t forget that we are still in the middle of a pandemic and must continue to stay safe.
Francis Grisby said, “I just hope everybody who is hanging out with the family to be cautious and stay safe and remember that we are in the middle of a deadly virus and hold your love one close and make sure you try to keep them safe as well.”
