The Lauderdale County Baptist Association will host the final food distribution tomorrow from 8AM until supplies last. This distribution is apart of their farmer-rancher relief effort.
This is a drive through distribution that is open to everyone and allows residents two food boxes per vehicle.
“With the relief effort, just as far as not only for families that were displaced because of them not being able to work-it’s kind of a mutual helpfulness for both the farmers because restaurants were closing down and other places, they didn’t have that opportunity to sell," says Associational Mission Strategist of the Lauderdale Baptist Association John Maxey. "Also the citizens of Lauderdale County-being able to help them supplement resources that they could have because of the lack of income.”
Boxes vary from meat, vegetables and gallons of whole milk. For more information about volunteering or food boxes, contact the association at (601) 483-1419.
