Lauderdale County election commissioners sworn in

The Lauderdale County Board of Supervisors held their first meeting of the 2021 year today. During the meeting, Lauderdale County Election Commissioners were sworn in for the next four years. All commissioners ran unopposed in the last November 3rd election. The commissioners are complimented on their outstanding job in 2020 during the pandemic.

“It’s just a compliment anytime the Board of Supervisors will allow us to share this historical moment with them. Our election commissioners are trained on a regular basis on how to run elections, keep our voter rolls purged and they do an outstanding job,” said Donna Jill Johnson, Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk. “The best compliment I can pay them is they’re used as an example over the state in training because they do such a good job.”

The Lauderdale County Election Commissioners are:

District 3: Awana Simmons

District 4: Gloria Dancy
