A Lauderdale County native took to the stage on Fox’s premiere episode of its new show “I Can See Your Voice”, and was the secret voice winner for the show’s first episode.

Telvin Lewis, a graduate of West Lauderdale High School, was one of six performers that were secret voices featured in the show’s first episode and he was the last singer standing in the final round. The contestant on the show was able to win $100,000 after correctly guessing that Telvin was a good singer, allowing him to then reveal his voice in a duet with celebrity actor and singer, Nick Lachey.
No stranger to the stage, Telvin was also on season 15, the farewell season of American Idol, and he shared that he is still is shocked that he made it to the final round on “I Can See Your Voice”. He was able to make it to the last round, thanks to the contestant believing in his singing abilities, based off of his lip sync to his own voice in the first round.
“Honestly it really didn’t hit me until like that final moment, like I’m actually standing here in the last round next to Nick Lachey, about to sing my tail off. Like, it was kind of an out of body experience to be honest. It was crazy. It still hasn’t hit me yet,” said Telvin Lewis.

Telvin Lewis shared that he will be releasing his debut single “These Walls Can Talk” in November, which will be available on all streaming platforms. A drive by parade to celebrate Telvin’s recent achievements will be held at 2pm in Collinsville on Sunday, September 27.
