Yesterday was National Custodial Worker’s Recognition Day and Lauderdale County Schools honored their workers with some special treats.
Students at Northeast Middle School made thank you cards as well as gift bags and provided breakfast for the workers. All custodians are appreciated for their hard work during the pandemic.
“Our teachers love our custodians and they showed their appreciation for them this morning,” says Assistant Principal of Northeast Middle School Josh Snider. “Their work load has doubled from their daily routines to now we’re having to disinfect, keeping desks and doorknobs--little things cleaned. So their work load has doubled, but their doing an amazing job and they’ve been team players.”
All Lauderdale County Schools honored their custodians with the same gestures.
