As COVID cases increase all over the world, cases have also been on the rise here greatly in Mississippi, and Lauderdale County school districts have decided to implement a 3-week mask mandate among their schools.
”We look at our numbers every day pretty much every hour, and we are seeing a lot of positive cases and quarantine cases in our school data.”

“We are also looking at national data and data right here from Lauderdale and we can see that our numbers have increased and for 3 weeks we feel we need to go back to what we were doing last year implementing mask-wearing into the dress code policy.”
Lauderdale County school district states that they will continue to do all things according to the CDC such as social distancing and hand washing to continue to keep their students, faculty, and staff during this pandemic.
